Privacy Policy

Mia Cook cares about your privacy. This policy explains which personal data we process, for what purpose, with whom, and what your rights are.

1. Data we process

• Account: email address, first name, password (encrypted), or sign-in via Google.
• Dietary preferences: diet type, religious restrictions (halal, kosher), allergens, cooking level. Some of this information may reveal religious beliefs or health data (allergies); it is used only to personalize and secure your recipes.
• Fitness data: age, sex, height, weight, goals, activity, food log — to calculate your needs and track your progress.
• Photos: when you scan your fridge, the photo is sent for analysis and then not retained.
• Payment: handled by Stripe. We never store your card number.
• Technical: session (stored on your device) and logs strictly necessary for operation.

2. Purposes and legal basis

• Provide the service — recipe generation, tracking, dietary compliance (performance of the contract).
• Manage your subscription via Stripe (performance of the contract).
• Security and abuse prevention (legitimate interest).
• Sensitive data (religion, health) is processed on the basis of your consent and of providing the service you request. You can modify or withdraw it at any time in your profile.

3. Providers and recipients

We share only what is strictly necessary with processors acting on our instructions:

• Supabase — hosting, authentication, database.
• OpenAI — recipe generation and analysis of ingredient photos.
• SiliconFlow — generation of dish images.
• Stripe — payment and subscription management.
• Vercel — application hosting.

Some providers may process data outside the European Union; appropriate safeguards govern these transfers.

4. Retention

Your data is kept as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Danger zone: all your data is then permanently erased.

5. Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. You exercise erasure directly via account deletion. For the others, contact us.

6. Cookies and local storage

We use only local storage to keep you signed in. No advertising tracking.
